1. Merriweather Post Pavillion

If you enjoy outdoor concerts, Merriweather Post Pavillion is one of the most iconic venues in Maryland. Surrounded by Symphony Woods, the amphitheater hosts major touring artists across nearly every genre, from country and pop to indie rock. 

Its lawn seating makes it a favorite for students looking for a more relaxed concert experience during warmer months. 

2. Capital One Arena

Located in downtown Washington, D.C., Capital One Arena welcomes many of the biggest concert tours in North America. Pop stars, hip-hop artists, international performers and comedy tours all regularly stop here. 

Thanks to College Park’s access to the Green Line Metro, getting to shows without driving is straightforward. 

3. CFG Bank Arena

Following a major renovation, CFG Bank Arena has become one of Maryland’s premier indoor concert venues. The arena now attracts nationally touring musicians, comedians and special events throughout the year.

For EDM fans, few venues compare to Echostage. 

Frequently ranked among the world’s best electronic music venues, Echostage hosts internationally known DJs including Subtronics, Dom Dolla, Fisher, John Summit, Disclosure, D.O.D and many others. 

If electronic music is your favorite genre, this venue will likely become a regular destination. 

5. The Anthem

Located at The Wharf, The Anthem offers an impressive mix of artists in a venue that feels more intimate than a traditional arena while still accommodating thousands of fans.

6. The Filmore Silver Spring

The Filmore regularly hosts rock, indie, alternative, pop and hip-hop artists throughout the year. 

Because of its smaller capacity compared to nearby arenas, students often appreciate the closer views and energetic atmosphere. 

7. MGM National Harbor Theater

Inside MGM National Harbor, this theater brings in award-winning musicians, comedians and special performances year-round. 

The surrounding restaurants and waterfront also make it easy to turn concert night into an evening out. 

8. Baltimore Soundstage

Baltimore Soundstage is known for hosting alternative rock, metal, punk, hip-hop and electronic artists. 

The smaller venue creates an energetic environment that many fans prefer over larger arenas. 

9. The Atlantis

Opened in 2023, The Atlantis was designed as a more intimate venue for up-and-coming artists and surprise performances. 

Its small capacity means nearly every seat feels close to the stage, making it an exciting place to discover rising musicians before they begin playing larger venues. 

10. Jiffy Lube Live

For students willing to travel a little farther, Jiffy Lube Live hosts many of the biggest summer concert tours in the country.
